Malayalam actor Sreenivasan, who was admitted to Apollo Adlux Hospital near Angamaly on March 30 owing to cardiac ailments, is showing significant improvements in recovery, according to a medical bulletin issued here on Tuesday.

He was weaned off the ventilator and other cardiac support systems. The actor was able to communicate with family members and was in recovering phase, it said.

Mr. Sreenivasan had underwent bypass surgery after he was admitted on March 30.
