Actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot in Mumbai earlier today in a close-knit ceremony.

The wedding took place at Mumbai’s Vastu building where both the stars own individual apartments. The guest list included family and friends from the Bollywood film fraternity like Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Karishma Kapoor among others.

Soon after, the couple posted pictures on Instagram.

Alia wrote on Instagram: “Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home … in our favourite spot – the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship – we got married.”

She added, “With so much already behind us, we can’t wait to build more memories together … memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites.”

“Thank you for all the love and light during this very momentous time in our lives. It has made this moment all the more special,” the Gangubai Kathiawadi star wrote.

Both the stars will be seen next in the fantasy-drama film Brahmastra, during the making of which their relationship began.
