On Gold Coast, the 43rd Australian Tourism Exchange event in 2023 will be hosted at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
At the end of the ATE22 Live event in Sydney, Phillipa Harrison, Tourism Australia Managing Director, assured everyone about 2023’s ATE and its proposed venue – Gold Coast, together with Tourism and Events Queensland.
Ms Harrison said that they are keen to work together with TEQ to host in Gold Coast ATE23. She also added that they are interested to provide operators with networking opportunity and do business with all the world’s well-known players.
She said that ATE and similar trade events are now tremendously crucial for networking with Australian tourism suppliers in terms of international travel wholesalers and retailers and aid the revival of tourism from the damaging effects of the pandemic.
She added that ATE’s long-term benefits are important as the relationships and businesses of the future can develop the tourism industry of Australia by almost $100 billion. This year’s Sydney ATE, she said that the authorities succeeded in welcoming international buyers and sellers back since the pandemic hit the sector. It was a major success with almost 1,100 buyers and sellers taking part in the event in-person.
Queensland Tourism Minister Stirling Hinchliffe stated that Gold Coast was country’s one of the first-rate destinations in terms of conference and leisure travel.
