On Yesterday, i.e. Sunday, the Minister of Heritage and Tourism, Oman, took a decision to modify few of the provisions of the executive regulations of the Tourism Law as per the categories and types of the tourist services and license duration.

Also, the decision included licenses for taking up job as tourism guide, for all categories of the non-Omanis amounting to OMR 50 and for the first category for Omani tour guide, the fees for getting licenses is OMR 20 and OMR 10 for the second and third category respectively.

His Excellency Salem Al Mahrouqi, the Minister of Heritage and Tourism, Oman, issued Resolution No. 75/2022, altering few provisions of the executive regulations of the Tourism Law.

The decision comprised tourist institutions, hotels, and the licensing of the art teams.

A license in the regulation is granted to run and make use of the current hotel facilities on the time-sharing system, with an annual charge of OMR5, 000.

For a period of 5 years, a tourist camp license is issues at a charge of OMR1, 000. However, for two years, OMR75 is the cost of fees for licensing travel and tourism offices.

The charge for granting a license to recruit high-end art teams for tourism establishments ranges between OMR500 and OMR400.
