The first edition of Madurai District Tiny and Small-Scale Industries Association (MADITSSIA)’s Pixel Photo & Video Exhibition will be held from May 27 to 29 at IDA-Scudder Convention Centre in Madurai.
Speaking to the press, Pixel Photo & Video Exhibition Chairman S. Bharathi said, “this is one-of-a-kind exhibition held in the south of Tamil Nadu, especially in Madurai, for the benefit of passionate shutterbugs.”
In recent times, the arena has opened up for talented professionals photographers. “The demand for women photographers especially to shoot new born babies and maternity photoshoots are booming along with interests for pre and post wedding photoshoots”, he said.
The three-day exhibition will house around 100 stalls, displaying latest photography and videography models and accessories, he said.
Visitors will have an opportunity to touch-and-feel multiple brands of camera equipments under one roof.
The expo will have several leading camera manufacturers like Sony, Canon Nikon, Fuji, Panasonic, Simpex, Godox from across India partnering in the exhibition. “Shutterbugs can also expect new product launch by leading international brands and special exhibition offers,” said Mr. Bharathi.
Special stalls for printing sector, backdrop and flash manufactures, album makers, helicam and gimbal accessories will be put up.
For technical gurus, software on album-making software, studio management and editing will be displayed.
Enthusiasts can also use this opportunity to sell their used cameras buy and new ones on special discounts, said Mr. Bharathi.
A separate pavilion will display a variety of antique camera, while another will display the history of photography via charts.
Stalls put up by banks providing services for insurance and EMI will be part of the expo.
Basic camera services will be done in separate stalls along with special camps for eye check-up and free vaccination for photographers and videographers.
Workshop-cum-seminar on different topics related to photography and videography will be conducted. To have a hands-on experience, a fashion parade will be organised for participants to try their hands at fashion photography, he said.
Apart from this, photography competitions and lucky draw will be conducted for the visitors and high-end cameras will be given away as prizes, he added.
MADITSSIA president M. S. Sampath, and vice president, M. Lakshminarayanan were also present.
The free-exhibition will be open from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
