The World Health Organization (WHO) has stated that the COVID-19 pandemic is “most certainly not over yet.”Although there is a reduction inCovid-19 cases since the Omicron wave, the pandemic is not over completely.
WHO Director-generalTedrosAdhanomGhebreyesus said that it is wise not to let go of safety at any cost. He added that doing away with testing and sequencing means that we are keeping ourselves blind to theprogress of the virus.
Ghebreyesussaid that almost 1 billion people in lower-income countries are left to be vaccinated.
Monkeypox is another important issue; however, the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia has guaranteed that there is no such case in the country so far.
