The weather is yet get sweltering, but the Jefferson County has by now started witnessing signs of the summer months in terms of visitor numbers. Already, the visitors are being seen rushing to the local towns. Businesses, like the Bavarian Inn, have already started accepting bookings for the forthcoming months of the summers. For the summer of 2022, the Inn has many rooms completely booked and events planned.

Annette Gavin Bates, Jefferson County Visitors and Convention Bureau CEO said that some of the merchants and restaurants in Harpers Ferry have stated that they’re doing quite good. She hopes for a record-breaking year. She along with other industry veterans have gained an advantage on marketing comprising a mini-guide insert in The Washington Post by the JCCVB of late. Also, those in the field are learning from each other with the return of the Tourism Summit. It’s scheduled on May 18th, 2022.

She emphasized to the significance of growing from the depressive phase of the last two years and positioning Jefferson County as state’s one of the best tourism destinations.
