The tourism minister of Kerala PA Mohamed Riyasinaugurated a virtual travel guide that would provide access to all information regarding the tourism locations with the help of QR Code for all visitors coming to Kerala.
This new digital tool will provide access to every significant informationlike the distance to the nearest bus-stand, airportand railway station as well as the tourist destination’s working hours along with its contact numbers. The Minister said this after initiating the facility in Fort Kochi.
The electronic brochure will be set up across Kerala’s tourism centers and airports, bothinside and outside India. More content will be added to the e-brochure, together withfactsregarding the places with tourism prospectivethat are not known that much. Many other technology-driven amenitieswill be initiated in the tourism sector in months to come to make sure that travel becomes hassle-free, said Minister Riyas.
This e-brochure will make sure that a single click will lead torelevant social-media pages. The essential guide will also enable information concerning tour packages and how to book them.
Minister Riyas said that propermaintenance of the tourism centers is a necessity. He said that tourism clubs will be set up in colleges across Keralaand they would involve youth regarding theconservation and advertising of local travel spots. The Kerala Government will issue anannouncementfor implementing the project after consulting with the Higher Education Minister.
